Obituary of Robert G. Williamson
Williamson, Robert (Bob) G., 79, went to his heavenly place of rest on June 22, 2018. He left this world peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley and his family. Born in Wheeling, West Virginia on November 27, 1938, Bob joined the Air Force out of high school and served his country for 20 years, including having served in Vietnam and retired a Senior Master Sargent. Bob and family moved back to Tucson in 1976 where he worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 24 years before retiring. Bob never knew a stranger, and could talk to anyone about anything, his favorite topic being sports.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Shirley and by four children; Jan (Steve) Cohen, Dan (Heather) Williamson, Kevin (Susie) Williamson, and Kelli (Pete) Vegors. His grandchildren; Zach Cohen, Natasha (Craig) McTaggart, Ben (Taylor) Vegors, Briana Vegors and Erin Williamson, and one great grandchild CJ McTaggart, who always made Pop-Pop smile. He is also survived by his loving sister Nina and family of Massillon, Ohio.
