Obituary of Alexander Jaden Martinez
Alexander J. Martinez, 10, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on October 29, 2018. He was born November 19, 2007, the son of Rene and Angelica (Becerra) Martinez. He attended Myers-Ganoung Elementary School. Alex loved going to school to hang out with his friends. He enjoyed going on long walks, watching football with his dad, watching action movies and going to mass. Alex had many health challenges but he was the strongest, bravest boy. He was loved by all and was very memorable with his crooked Elvis smile and so handsome with his thick, wavy hair. Alex room was full of superheroes wall to wall. In reality, he was the bravest superhero of all. His life’s journey was a true inspiration to people across the world. Alex had a multitude of nurses, doctors, therapists and home health providers that were part of team Alex and whose mission was to keep him healthy at home. He taught everyone how a young boy could overcome what seemed like impossible odds since birth. Alex’s story is one of hope, courage and a will to live a full, rich life.
Alex is survived by his parents Rene and Angelica; his younger sister Isabelle and his little brother Jacob. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, Maricruz and Jose Luis Martinez of El Paso, Texas; and his maternal grandparents, Jose and Delta Becerra of Chicago. His is also survived by his godparents, several aunts and uncles and many cousins.
