Obituary of Luanne Mae Andruczk

It is with great sadness that the family of Luanne Mae Andruczk announces her passing on April 5, 2019, at the age of 73 years. 

Born in Detroit, Luanne was the fourth child of Clifton and Lauretta (Fraser) Sockow, and grew up in lovely Plymouth, MI.

 

In 1964, Luanne graduated from Plymouth High School, then joined the Navy from 1964-1967, Hospital Corps.

 

In the 1980s, Luanne moved to sunny Arizona with her husband, Michael Wolford (since deceased).  Immediately, Luanne began making many close friends, including very special ones who share in the sadness of our loss.  

Luanne’s career path spanned many eclectic interests, including medical care, (pulmonary & geriatric), sales, (from prosthesis, cemetery plots, to apparel) and clerical (with expertise in medical terminology and persuasion).

  Her passion for writing took Luanne to Prescott College, where she graduated with her Bachelor Of Arts in 1993.

She became actively involved in her church, Christ Church United Methodist, in fellowship and choir activities.  Many of her warm and wonderful friends are members of this loving congregation and have gathered to share their support in her final days.

 

Yet another loving community, Luanne thoroughly enjoyed her apartment complex family, where she made a splash with her adorable puppy, Mija, who, along with Luanne, was tenderly loved and cared for.  As a matter of fact, Luanne trained Mija to become a service dog for hospital visits and encouraging children to read at the library.

 

Luanne will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Claudia (Don), her nieces and nephews, Kim Mendenhall, Deb Richards (John) Mark Szerlag (Diane) Paul Szerlag (Cindy) Cathy Ciavattone (Frank) and Steve Szerlag (Kristyn). She will also be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law, Larry Garbarino (Virginia-deceased) and her aunt, Barbara Root.

 

Luanne was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Virginia, and brother, William.
