Terry’s daughter Marissa hired me, and she was perhaps the best manager I’ve had in my career. Whenever she talked about her dad, she lit up. Reading about his life and his personality, I understand why. She looks a bit like her dad, and she shares some of his many redeeming qualities. As I recall her saying to me, “Once a Gautsch, always a Gautsch.” As a father of two daughters myself, I know how special a daughter’s love is for her father. Let Marissa and her sister find peace in knowing that dad loved them to the moon and back. I am sure of it.

We grew up next door to the Gautschs for 20+ years. Mr Gautsch every year would take us (4 girls - his two and my sister and I) to the Three Rivers Parade when we were in elementary school! Most dads wouldn't be so brave, but he was! :) We would often spend the night at each other's houses. I remember sitting on their back screened in porch after breakfast or lunch, and he would just chat with us. He was a very giving, loving, and fun dad! Mrs Gautsch was the same. We couldn't have asked for better memories, friends and neighbors! Sending our love and hugs to the girls and their families!!
