Family Watkins,
Please accept our sincere sympathy for you in the loss of your wonderful dad and grandpa. It’s a sad time for you and also for Ron and me. So many great memories of Badger football games, happy hours at Earl and Vi’s, dinners, card playing, and annual Door County trips together.
We have sent a gift to the UW Foundation in memory of Lowell (same as we did for Kathy). Lowell and Kathy were so very proud you both attended and graduated UW. And Lowell really loved his granddaughters! He kept us updated on the successes of his family on a regular basis. Just a great guy and human being!
Our family will truly miss Lowell — definitely will never forget him.

Jennifer, Brent and families,
Very sad to hear of your loss. What amazing people both your mom and dad were. Great parents, great friends, great people. They were always positive, friendly, and compassionate. Ron and my mother Pat spent so many nights and weekends with your parents enjoying their company and friendship. I know Ron is missing his dear friend right now with this news.
What a wonderful life your dad experienced ... raising a family that he was so proud of and watching his kids grow and become such good people. I know you will miss him greatly... hope the sadness will turn into smiles and warm thoughts and memories of your father.
Please take care,
Lachlan Keith

Brent, Jennifer and Families,
I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. Both of your parents were wonderful people and great friends to Ron and my mom (Pat) for many, many years. They were a lot of fun and I, personally, remember countless, enjoyable Badger football Saturdays with them.
Your dad was a remarkably sweet man, and I know Ron considered him a very close friend...his loss is felt. You and your children were a specific source of joy to him (and your mom, of course) and whenever we spoke in recent years, he was always full of pride.
Keep your memories close to your heart and know that you have been fortunate to be connected to a tremendous human being.
Best,
Kathy Hansen
