My Lyle, I loved him with every fiber of my being. I will miss him till I go to meet him in Heaven. I always feel he is still here with me in a different way. I talk to him often, yet after all this time (Jan 1, 2021) I still can't believe he's gone. Sometimes when I hear the kitchen door open, I call out, "honey is that you" He was in and out of the hospital so often that last few months. I have a favorite poem, can't remember who wrote it, but it goes like this: THE DAY GOD TOOK YOU HOME A million times I've needed you, A million times, I've cried, If love alone, could have saved you, You never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, In death, I love you still, In my heart you hold a space, Which no-one can ever fill. It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn't go alone, Part of me went with you, The day God took you home. I love you, and was proud to be your wife. Ro

Lyle was mostly seated behind me in church, and sometimes next to me. My husband Eddie always stopped to say hi to Lyle on the way to the choir, a fellow WI firefighter and Green Bay Packer Fan. He will be greatly missed.

My dad was a funny man! He was goofy and told terrible jokes. After his first cancer surgery he was left with a large scar across his belly, in the years that followed my young children started to notice The scar and asked dad what it was from. He would make up the greatest shark attack stories you’ve have ever heard. The stories changed everytime he told them. But he would get the kids all laughing, just what he was wanting to hear!

We will truly miss seeing Lyle every Sunday at mass. He was a treasured part of our St. Pius X family and it just won’t be the same without him. We are sending all our love to the Huntsinger family. We are praying for you!
