Obituary of Nidia Clelia Manteca de Gabilondo

Nidia Manteca Gabilondo, 85 years old, born on March 6, 1935, the youngest of 9 children born to Refugio and Jesus Manteca in Esqueda, Sonora, Mexico.  She was married 68 years ago to Adalberto Gabilondo, Jr.; they had four children, Adalberto J. Gabilondo III (wife Julie), Nidia G. Anderson (husband Dennis), Jesus A. Gabilondo (deceased) and Alfredo Gabilondo (deceased).  She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Sonja Gabilondo, Tessy Gabilondo, Tito Gabilondo, Jesus Gabilondo, Shawn Gabilondo, Andrea Gabilondo, Amanda Gabilondo, and Tony Gabilondo.  She had 16 great-grandchildren, Jamal, Elijah, Trevin, Marisella, Teah, Alexis, Samara, Jaden, Punch, Ally, Ariella, Landry, Tripp, Gianna, Bella, and Cash. She 3 great-great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah Cruz, and Cadence.  She also had many nieces and nephews. She was a devout catholic that had a passion for caring for the vulnerable.  She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed. 

Visitation will be at 5:00 PM with The Rosary recited at  6:00 PM on Thursday January 21, 2021 at Bring's Broadway Chapel 6910 East Broadway, Tucson.   Mass will be offered at 12:00 PM on Friday January 22, 2020 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church 1800 South Kolb Road, Tucson.  Burial to follow in Our Lady of The Desert Cemetery, Tucson.
