Obituary of Jose J. Duarte

Jose “Tony” J. Duarte, passed away on Thursday January 28, 2021 in Tucson, AZ at the age of 58.

Tony is survived by his mother Delfina Duarte, brothers George (Maggie), Manuel, Vince, and sisters Rosemary, Connie, Bertha (Paul). Along with Frances Duarte and their children Vanessa, Monica, Tony, and Manny. As well as his grandchildren Joel and Aiyana, with many other cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Jesus “Chapo” Duarte.

Jose was born on February 4, 1962 in Tucson, AZ. He and Frances met in 1981 in Benson, Arizona. Over a 25 year span, the couple welcomed 4 children into their family. Jose’s children remember him as a strong, loving, funny, and kind father who helped everyone in his life and was always a ray of light in every room he stepped into. He will be greatly missed by all!

The family would like to thank all nurses, doctors, and staff at Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital for their tireless effort in caring for our father.
