I am saddened to learn of Ed Parker’s passing. I haven’t seen Ed since high school and remember him as being kind and having a good sense of humor. I offer my sincere condolences to his family, especially to his wife and daughter and to his mother Ila. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Ed Parker when I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the summer of 1980. He was so fun and thoughtful. We reconnected on a couple occasions over the years. He knew how to make others laugh. Last time I saw Ed we had a fantastic meal at his wife's restaurant. I am so very sorry to hear about his death and expect he has brought great joy to those on the other side.

When I was a teenager and had my drivers license every time I was going somewhere in the car Ed would always ask if he could go with me and that included dates to the drive in movies. That was always a treat for us both as we got to share one on one time until one day when arriving home Ed ran in the house yelling "Stan got a ticket, Stan got a ticket". He was limited with his riding after that. Mainly because my access to the car was also limited.
Ed passed away after a short time in the hospital for COVID-19 and I prayed every day for him to recover but his lungs could not supply his body with enough oxygen. I am thankful that I was able to have the time with my brother that I did and will miss him very much. I love you Brother, say Hi to Grandpa and Grandma Done for me.

Ed was a good friend whose company I enjoyed. He was my rock at a very tough time and I always appreciated his kindness. I miss the laughs we had.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Ed's passing. He was a great political friend through the years and a good sport/ enthusiastic participant in our production of Grease(as Danny) and our 2014 mini reprisal. He was so proud of his family and would light up talking about his daughter. He will be missed.

I remember once that he let me ride in the trunk of his car. I don’t remember where we were going, but it was fun. On one of his last visits to Utah we visited and talked about family history. He was very loved and will be missed.

My little brother! We love you so much. He is 5 years younger than me and took my place as the baby of the family. I so enjoyed him calling me on the phone to ask if I thought whatever was in his refrigerator that might be questionable if he should eat it or not. I would always tell him to smell it and if it didn't smell bad that it was probably ok to eat it. When he was about 2 he would want to play jacks with Patsy and me. He would squat down and put his hands in "prayer" position and say "Please!" We of course would make him ask "please" several times before we would give him an answer. I enjoyed hearing about all his adventures and when he would come to Utah to visit we would let all our kids know and invite them to come visit with Ed. There was always lots of laugh and many many stories. Such fun nights. It was a joy to have him and Anna come for Thanksgiving Dinner. He would call and ask if we were getting together with our kid or if it was an "in-law" year. He wanted Anna to experience a family with lots of kids and to get to know her Parker relatives. We will miss you Ed and know without a doubt we will meet again on our adventures after living on Earth together. Give Dad a big hug from me, I miss him so much.
Love, Jeannie Luke
