Obituary of Sean A. Twomey

Sean A. Twomey, 84, of Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A., passed on October 27, 2012, having lived a full and happy life. He was born to the late Tagdh O’Tuama and Lil Fogarty, November 30, 1927, in Cork County Ireland. He was married to Marie J. Twomey on September 27, 1954. Sean received a doctorate of Physics in Ireland. He was instrumental in the development of cloud physics and has received several national and international awards and recognition from peers. He is survived by his four children: Adele Twomey of Sydney, Australia and her daughter Linda, Kieran S. Twomey (Marlene Bartlett-Twomey) and their children Kenny and Brigid, of San Diego, California, Tim J. Twomey (Lori Twomey) and their daughter Sofia, of Cobb, California and Damian P. Twomey (Donna Tapia-Twomey) of Tucson, Arizona; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents; his lovely wife Marie J. Twomey and his eldest son Patrick Twomey. Memorial Service, Monday, November 5, 2012, 12pm, at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 East Broadway, Tucson, Arizona. Interment will take place at a later date in Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery, Tucson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org.
