Obituary of Clarence Cain

C. Edmond "Ed" Cain Ed passed away May 19, 2012. Born in Texas, on April 27, 1922. Ed is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Marie Cain; parents, Willie and Elma Cain; daughter, Carol Cain Naumann; granddaughters, Kimberley Shannon Naumann, Tiffany Marie Cain and Maya Louise Westdyke. Ed is survived by his son, Ed Cain Jr. (Margaret) Cain; granddaughters, Mary Marie Cain, Hannah Marie Cain (Fiancée Johnny Wilson); grandsons, William (Barbara) Cain, Joshua (Michelle) Starkey; sister, Velma Simmon and sister-in-law, Florence Hall Reitzer. On March 31, 1941, Ed was transferred to the newly built Davis Monthan Air Corps (AF) Base. While living here he met his soul mate Mary Hall. Ed married Mary Hall on August 23, 1942. Ed soon was shipped off to World War II and was stationed in Italy for two of the five years he served. In 1959 he built Ed Cains Auto Service, 3047 N. Alvernon and retired in 1990. Ed Cain Jr. took over. Ed's first love was his family and the love of the Lord and his church. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1950. He has been a member or Chairman of the Mission's Committee since 1950. Pastor Ron Heart's enthusiastic message on Evangelism encouraged Ed to be a Soul-Winner for His Lord since 1982. Ed has participated in 33 different crusades in 13 different countries, leading thousand of lost souls to the Lord. He has been an active Gideon since 1972. Memorial Service, 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 445 E. Speedway Blvd. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, bringfuneralhome.com.
