Obituary of Helen Gelety

Helen Gelety 1930 – 2023

An amazingly bright and insightful woman, impactful mother of three (Michael, Timothy, and Helen), and unforgettable grandmother of seven (Michael, David, Timothy, Christopher, Madeline, Helaina, and Simone), Helen succumbed to Alzheimer's disease after a ten-year period of heartbreaking physical and mental decline. 

Possessing wisdom beyond her formal education, style and sense beyond her humble immigrant beginnings, and independence and strength beyond her petite stature, she blessed her family with determination and drive.

Preceded in death by the love of her life, Michael, their 63-year bond is an inspiration to all.   

We are at peace now that Helen Gelety knows who she is again.
