Obituary of Dorothy Lois Pratt

Dorothy Lois Pratt, age 96, of Tucson, Arizona, was called to her heavenly home on February 16, 2024. Born on January 17, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Olive Heiry. Lois, as she preferred to be called, led a life marked by devotion to her family, her career, and her faith.

Lois served diligently as a Licensure Specialist with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, where her work made a significant impact on the community. Her commitment to service continued at Copygraphix Inc., her daughter June’s Company, where she worked until her well-earned retirement at 92.

The blessed matriarch of her family, she is survived by her children: Dolores June McLean (Wade), Beverly A. Laraway (Bruce), and Rick L. Pratt. Her legacy of love and faith continues in her grandchildren, Brian M. Laraway (Shanna), Nicole M. Gregory (Jordan), Jerick Pratt, and Amber Pratt, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her later years. Lois's brother, Denis Heiry (Joann), remains to honor her memory.

Lois was predeceased by her beloved husband, Milton L. Pratt Jr., her sister, June Metzger, and her brothers, Thomas and Charles Heiry. She will be remembered for her grace, kindness, and the love she bestowed upon her family.

A Funeral Mass will be held in Lois's honor on March 1, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the chapel at St. Thomas the Apostle. The family has entrusted Brings Funeral Home Broadway Chapel, located at 6910 Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85710, with the arrangements.
